End Date: 01-18-2027

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Days, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, every other weekend required, no call requirement

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $84.00 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert care to laboring mothers across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases
• Monitor fetal heart tones and interpret advanced fetal monitoring strips using the Fetal Link system
• Circulate C-sections and scrub in when needed alongside two OB techs per shift
• Triage patients and manage high-risk conditions such as hypertension, multiples, diabetes, and limited prenatal care
• Administer Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and insulin drips with confidence
• Float between labor and delivery, antepartum, and postpartum units as part of a collaborative team
• Chart efficiently in Cerner and keep the care team informed every step of the way
• Partner with two in-house OB attendings, a 24-hour neonatologist, respiratory therapy, and 24/7 pharmacy support

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in California
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications
• 2 or more years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Hands-on experience with high-risk deliveries
• C-section circulating experience required, scrubbing preferred
• Familiarity with Pitocin, magnesium sulfate, and insulin drips
• Travel nursing experience is a plus
• No acrylic or overlay nails permitted during the assignment

• Charting System: Cerner
• Unit Notes: 10/19 and 11/2 orientation only

• Cerner EMR
• Fetal Link monitoring system
• Antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum nursing care
• Triage and high-risk obstetric management
• Sterile technique for C-section scrub and circulating duties
• Team-based care in a high-volume perinatal unit
